Our mission

Help people understand where their money goes and decide better before spending, with no spreadsheets, no jargon and without selling their data. Financial organization starts with clear information and honest conversations, including at home, as a couple and with kids.

Who builds Tobbo

Tobbo is developed and maintained by Caotec Serviços em Tecnologia Ltda, a Brazilian technology company based in São Carlos, São Paulo state. Caotec is the data controller for the app and the website under Brazil’s LGPD.

Tobbo is not a bank, a payment institution or an investment advisor. The app only reads data: it does not send Pix, pay bills or move money. Its analyses are educational.

What the app does

Tobbo is free to download and use, with no ads. Tobbo Premium is an optional monthly or yearly subscription with a 7-day free trial; the price is shown in the store.

• Bank and card connection through Open Finance Brasil, regulated by the Central Bank: you authorize in your bank’s app, never share a password, and can revoke at any time.
• Automatic AI categorization that learns from your corrections.
• "Can I spend?": before buying, Tobbo checks balances, card bills, upcoming bills, budgets and goals and tells you whether it fits.
• Chat with Tobbo about your own numbers, with charts.
• Savings, emergency fund, category budgets and alerts for subscriptions and recurring charges.
• Couples mode with per-account privacy and Tobbo Kids, a parent-controlled money education mode for children (both in Premium).

How Tobbo uses AI, with clear limits

We use third-party AI models, contracted as processors, to categorize transactions, recognize bank notifications, check whether a question is about personal finance, answer in the chat and compute "Can I spend?". Providers are listed in the Privacy Policy.

• We send only what each task needs. We never send passwords, bank credentials, access tokens or your email.
• Numbers come from your real data: balances, bills and budgets are calculated by the app, and the AI explains the result.
• The chat stays on personal finance; off-topic questions are declined.
• AI can make mistakes. You correct categories and the correction becomes a rule. Answers are not investment advice.
• Tobbo Kids has no AI chatting with the child, no ads and no bank data.

Privacy and security

We do not sell personal data or use your finances for advertising. Traffic is encrypted (HTTPS), data is isolated per group, and you can disconnect a bank or delete your account in the app. Data requests go to our data protection officer at privacidade@tobbofin.com.

How we write the blog

Blog articles are written and reviewed by the Tobbo Team, based on public and official sources (Central Bank of Brazil, Receita Federal, Tesouro Direto, B3, FGC, IBGE) linked in each article. When a number changes often, like the Selic rate or inflation, we show where to check it instead of fixing a value.
